of yesteryear lived.
As you wander through the vaulted halls of Knappogue, you will learn about the families who
dwelled here including the Scots and the Butlers each making their own valuable
contribution.
In the magical setting of Knappogue Castle, the walled garden is a romantic oasis to sit and
muse or just escape the ‘madding crowd’. The tall and imposing walls of the walled garden,
are lovingly refurnished with climbing roses, grapevines and many clematis varieties.
Bunratty Castle and Folk Park
Bunratty Castle and Folk Park is one of Ireland’s most historic castles on the west of Ireland.

century Bunratty Castle and the 19th century Bunratty Folk Park, less than 28 kilometres

The Castle was resotred in 1954 to its former medieval splendour. At evening time, Medieval
Banquets are held in the castle and open to the public to enjoy. As well as this, you can enjoy
the sights, sounds, tastes and scents as you stroll from house to house around Bunratty Folk
Park Village. It is truly an experience you don’t want to miss out on!

Craggaunowen Pre-Historic Park.

standing defiantly on a crag overlooking the lake and enjoy magnificent views of the
countryside. Observe rare and really interesting animal breeds such as wild boar and soay
sheep – specimens of the pre-historic era.
Visit one of Ireland’s earliest roadways or ‘togher’ dating to 148 BC. Exploring the
Souterrain is fun – designed to store food but these were often a welcome escape route when

Moher Hill Farm

Cliffs of Moher. It is run by the Canavan family and stretches out over 14 acres of farm park
land. The farm was initially set up to teach and educate visitors about various different
animals, both traditional and exotic animals of different origins. Over the years they decided
to make it into a farm park that involves a mini-golf course, bouncing castle and both indoor
and outdoor play areas. It is the perfect way to spend a sunny day with family.
